Since our return from the UK we have been in communication with Mama Winny of Balm of Gilead Orphanage, in Dodoma, Central Tanzania. Here is an excerpt from her June update:
“… Right now is school break so the children are on vacation near Arusha, they are living at a village that has plenty of bananas. They are enjoying eating bananas as some of the children had not seen banana trees, they are enjoying so much. They are also caring for goats, chickens and sheep. Today they went to cultivate sunflower…..You talk about power shortages. You have touched our greatest need. Pray for us. We are living in darkness, we need light. I hope your prayers will produce something. The electricity company tell us to buy a transformer, which we cant afford, which is almost 18-20million shillings (£8,000). Any way GOD KNOWS.”
Let’s continue to keep Winny & the children in prayer.
